Open Letter to President Obama
I had considered writing to MY president to help
him with his second term. I want to give him
advice that I believe would help him not look like
he is sixty- plus when he leaves office.

In my letter, I write:

Dear Mr. President,

I have some unsolicited advice in three simple
steps:

1- Do your job as best as you can. Do not
concern yourself with what history will write
about you when you are gone. As a black man,
your haters are determined to find nasty things
to say about you.
2- Be fair with all Americans. Do not try to
hoodwink us as some have tried to do in the
past. If you honestly believe a policy will benefit
the majority of the people, then go for it!
3- You do not have to impress anybody; you are
the president! And that is a fact even for those
that do not want you in the white house.
What have I learned as a Black American? No matter what you do or how well you do it you will
have to keep 3x5 cards at the ready so that you can quote chapter and verse facts that you have
researched.

You will not be able to make major mistakes:
 Whites make calculated risks.
 Blacks are just plain stupid.
 If the train jumps track you will be at fault although that train was condemned 3 years ago, and
was too old to be in service with much needed repairs.
(We have always paid the black tax and we continue to do so until...)

I do not wish to sound negative or angry. I just know that as soon as I get excited about being
accepted as a Black American and being proud that this country picked MY President, I hear and
see the mess created by the "birthers." They have deemed themselves as so-called fact-checkers
that are still trying to prove something not needing proof. Additionally, I read that a man killed
himself because you are President.

Mr. President, please be the best president you know how to be. Do not let the negative folks steal
your joy or your thunder. Kiss your wife everyday. Thank God for His blessings and ask Him for
His infinite wisdom to guide you all along the way. Be true and kind to yourself, and everything will
be just fine.

We support you!

Yours truly,
